HERBIVORE
Herbivores only eat plants. they do not eat any other animals. Some herbivores that live in the Amazon Rain Forest are Howler Monkeys, Fruit Bats, and Blue and Yellow Macaw. this is where they are in the food chain : plants > herbivores > carnivores.

Name: Howler Monkey
Description: Howlers have excellent vision and can see up to one-half a mile.They love to irritate jaguars from high up in the canopy. Sometimes they will throw sticks and branches at the jaguar below. The jaguar is hoping that one of the howlers will slip and fall to the ground.
Habitat: Central and South American Rainforests. Canopy layer but does spend time on the ground.
Diet: Fruits and nuts
Predators: Jaguar other large mammals. Large snakes. Humans.

Description: Some species of Fruit bats are also known as Flying foxes.Fruit Bats are multicolored.They have many teeth.They can have a wingspan of over three feet in length.
Habitat: Rainforests. Often roost in caves. Central America to Africa to Asia to Australia.
Diet: most fruits exept citrus
Predators: Humans and other animals.

Name: Blue and Yellow Macaw
Description: Their beak is also used for climbing.Blue and Yellow macaws are many times seen together in pairs.The Blue and Yellow macaw can grow to around 33 inches in length, counting the tail (tail is 20 inches long).
Habitat: South America and Central America. Amazon Rainforest.
Diet: Seeds, fruits, and nuts.
Predators: Golden eagle and Harpy eagle.
