Scavengers of the Amazon
A scavenger is an animal that eats dead or decaying matter. There are many scavengers in the Amazon rainforest. Scavengers can be birds, mammals, insects, or anything else that eats dead animals. Scavengers are important in the food chain. They eat all the dead organisms. If there wasn't any scavengers then there would be dead animals everywhere.
