Herbivores
Herbivores play a big part in the Amazon food web. Herbivores are in the middle of the "pyramid". Herbivores only eat plants. They are important because if there were no herbivores than the carnivores would have to eat smaller organisms and there would be a lower population in carnivores.

Name: ,Blue and Yellow Macaw
Description: The Blue and Yellow macaw can grow up to 33 inches in length.They also use their beaks for climbing.Their beaks are more powerful then any other bird.They usually gather in flocks at night and sleep together.
Habitat: Parts of South America and Central America, Top of the Canopys. Near swamps and rivers.
Diet: They mainly eat fruit and nuts,but sometimes likes to eat nectar.
Predators: Golden Eagle and Harpy Eagle
 
Name: Giant Panda
Description: Giant Pandas can live up to 25 years,Giant Pandas have to eat 25-35 pounds of food a day.Pandas spend 10-12 hours of the day eating. They were once hunted for their fur. Their average daily amountof bamboo is 12.5 kg.
Habitat: Temparate. They live in cool, wet bamboo forested areas.
Diet: Bamboo, most kinds of plants
Predators: Human

Name: Paca
Description: They have short tails,they live in dens.They are very good swimmers. They are nocturnal , only leaving their den at night. They are often killed for their rich meat. Their borrows are usually only 2 m below the surface. They do not make much sound. Their fur is coarse.
Habitat: Central and South America. Rainforest floor near water.
Diet: All fruits except citrus
Predators: Many bigger animals
