| Description of Plant: Pronounced EYE-a-wasca. Some people call it "the vine of the dead". It grows long leaves and small flowers off of it. It's most common name comes from the Incas. |
| Uses of Plant (consumption/medicinal): The Ayahuasca vine is used for climbing because of its thick roots. When combined with chacuruna it can improve vision. |

| Uses of Plant (medicinal): This sedge can be used to treat many illnesses such as: headaches, fevers and cramps. |

| Description of Plant:The cecropia tree is a very fast to grow tree. Ocasionally it will grow 6 feet taller in 1 year! But the cecropia tree is still considered a small tree and stays down in the lower canopy part of the rain forest. |
| Uses of Plant (consumption): The cecropia tree is eaten by the three toed sloth mainly, but also by bats, rodents, birds, and other animals as well. |
