There are many carnivores in the Amazon. The largest of which is the caiman. Carnivores in any enviorment are always at the top of the food chain, they eat herbivores.Here is some information on three carnivores, the anaconda, the jaguar, and the caiman.

Name: Anaconda
Description: Largest snake in the world. Scales are brown, yellow and black.
Habitat: In swampy tributaries and the forest floor.
Diet: This animal will eat anything from a toad to a small goat! It will eat wild boars, small deer, toads and most jungle creatutres.

Name: Caiman
Description: Looks like a small crocidile.
Habitat: In the muddy areas in the Amazon
Diet: Fish and water wading birds

Name: Jaguar
Description: Brown and yellow spots
Habitat: The forest floor, sometimes seen in trees
Diet: Deer, monkey, any animal it comes across
