| Herbivores
are animals that eat mostly fruits and nuts. They do not
eat meat that much, because it is not essential in their
diets. Below are a few of them which exist in tha Amazon
Rainforest. Herbivores are important because they do not
eat many aminals, which let's most species live. This
way, other animals that really need them can feed off of
them instead. |

They are
often a green color. There are many different
species os this bird, which means there are
different sizes. The females will normally lay 2-8
eggs. You will most likely see them in a flock. |

They are
found in many different rainforests in South
Anmerica, incullding the Amazon. |
| Diet:

Feeds on
nuts, berries, fruit, buds, and seeds |

Snakes and

Can be
multi-colored. Some are known to sleep in fruit
trees. Almost prefect eyesight. Not much
dependence on echolocation as other certain bats
are. Two layers of skin which are very thin. |

Lives in
countries other than South America. Mostly in
rain forest caves. Other countries include Asia,
Africa, Central America and Australia. |

Eat almost
all fruits but not cirtus ones. |

Mostly

Wiegh 400-600
pounds and can be 5 feet long. Are very
threatened by poachers. Are exellant swimmers.
They can stay underwater for 5 minutes. These
hippos have wonderful eyesight and hearing. Their
life can be up to 35 years before they die. |

Africa, brush, rivers, and rainforest. |
