The Amazon basin is one of the most diverse habitats inthe entire world. It contains enormous rivers, uncharted jungles, and ahuge variety of plants and animals. Covering an area about 3/4 the sizeof the United States, it drains parts of Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Brazil.
