Our Food Chain Page
Food Chains:
A food chain is a chain of animals that eat other animals. For instance the rabbit eats the plant, the the snake eats the rabbit, and the hawk eats the snake. That was an example of how the food chain works. It's so delicate that if one thing is messed up in the food chain than the hole thing would be messed up.

Food Webs: Food web is the hole picture a what eats what. For example the rabbit eats the plant, the snake eats the rabbit, and the hawk eats the snake. The organisems in the food web depens on what they eat. Like the snake for example it eats the rabbit, frogs, and mice. now if there was no frogs they could eat the rabbits. The snake could be in different places in the food web. In the Amazon the snake could get eaten by a hawk or a larger mamal.

The Delicate Balance of Organisms:
The food web is so inticate and delicate that if any minuet piece is out of place, then the whole food web as a whole will be disturbed and out of place. For instance, if there is a lot of pollution is within a creek, and the alge and other microscopic creatures a depleated, then the fish have no food to eat. After the fish population goes down, then the bear and other mammal population will suffer too. So, if mankind is destroying the beautiful Amazon rainforest where various animals exsist, then where would they live? If one specis if depleated then the others will all suffer.
