Red Brocket Deer |
| Description: |
This is a very small animal
ranging from twenty to sixty pounds, and about
two to four feet long and only about two feet in
height. The male's antlers will only grow to
about a few inchs long. Their spine is curved so
their backend sticks up. These deer are very
secretive and are hard to spot. They are
extremely good at swimming. Their small size
allows them to run rather easily through the
rainforest. |
| Habitat: |
This deer lives in dense
tropical forests in Central and South America.
Usually around water swamps, rivers, and marshes,
in South America you'll find them in the Amazon
Rainforest. |
| Diet: |
The Red Brocket Deer will
eat Fruits, vegitation like leaves, buds, and
grass. |
| Predators: |
Preditores of the Red
Brocket Deer are Humans who are destroying their
habitat and hunting, large cats like Puma and
Jaguar, and birds of prey and snakes. |

Walking Stick |
| Description: |
This insect can be mistaken
for a tree branch. There are over 2700 types of
walking sticks. This insect belongs to the
Phasmids Family. It is a nocternal, they usually
sleep on leaves or tree branches during the day.
They blend in so well that their enimies can't
see them. The walking stick can re-grow an arm or
leg that is broken off. It sheds it's skin just
like a snake does. Walking Sticks are wingless
insects. They seem to be the longest insects in
the world. |

The walking stick eats
leaves and berries. |

Preditores of the Walking
Stick are birds, snakes, frogs, lizards, and many

Scarlet Macaw. |
| Description: |
The Macaws are the largest
of the neotropical parrots. The Scarlet Macaw is
the medium size of this species. There are
seventeen reconizable species of Macaw. Their
eyes are a pale yellow color while the rest of
their body is multi-colord. Very bright colors.
Their bones are hallow which makes easier for
them to fly better. Calcium is an important thing
to have in their diet. They are good at climbing
but are clumsy on the ground. |

The Scarlet Macaw live in
canopy and emergent layers from Mexico to the
Amazon Rainforest. |
| Diet: |
This Bird will eat seeds
from fruits, nuts, and clay for a source of
calcium. Sometimes they'll eat fruit. |

Preditores of the Scarlet
Macaw are the Harpy Eagle, humans, and meat
eaters. |
