Producers of the Rainforest
Producers(plants) are the very beginning of the food chain. They get energy from the sun in terms of light so they can grow. The plants also need chlorophyll to grow and be green. The process of absorbing light and chlorophyll is called photosynthesis.Glucose is a sugar that is a major energy source in plants and some animals. The producers are eaten by herbivores and the chemical energy is transferred from animal group to animal group.
